BBN Introduction

place Sierra Wildlife Rescue 777 Pleasant Valley Road, Diamond Springs, ca, 95619 expand_more
Organized by arrow_forward_ios Debbie Buckles Lynette

This class will introduce new volunteers to our organization by explaining our mission and goals, and
why we have a seasonal "Baby Bird Nursery" that takes in on the average of 650 songbirds every spring
and summer. We will answer questions about why they come into care, where they come from and how
we can help rehabilitate and return them to the wild. We will talk about the requirements of being a
volunteer, responsibilities while working at the center, and how our volunteer scheduling works.
Training is mostly done while at the BBN with staff and more experienced volunteers. No experience is
necessary~ just a passion for wildlife and a desire to make a difference for our songbirds.
